Overslept slightly in the morning and couldn't sample the buffet breakfast here, so instead headed towards the Prangin Mall for some brunch. This mall is situated next to Komtar, a 58-storey office tower built about twenty years ago, which was once a state-of-the-art office complex and mall, but the shops have all but gone now and the whole thing is now just a horrible eyesore that can be seen from miles away.
Then it was on a bus out to see Wat Chayamangkalaram, a Thai temple of a huge Reclining Buddha, which is colourfully impressive.
On the opposite side of the road is the equally impressive Dhammikarama Burmese Buddhist Temple, this one featuring a standing Buddha.
