"Yatosa! Yatosa!"

The heavy rain over the weekend may have forced the cancellation of a local community festival in my neighbourhood, but it wasn't going to stop the Koenji Awa-odori Festival. Naturally, given the weather, the streets weren't quite as packed as usual, but there was still an enthusiastic crowd there to cheer on the dance groups and eat and drink under umbrellas.

I enjoyed it as always, but paid for being out in the wet for so long, as I was laid up with a temperature for a couple of days after the event.
